Why we built this
The interview format tests performance under artificial constraints — a countdown timer, a stranger watching, an unfamiliar editor — almost as much as it tests engineering ability. That format punishes experienced engineers who freeze under it just as hard as it punishes anyone underprepared.
Practice problems and mock interviews help you learn the material. They don't fix what happens when a real clock is running and a real person is watching — the pressure of performing in front of a stranger changes how your brain works under it.
